Mr. Mayfield from Panther Creek State Park was our guest speaker at the September STEAM team meeting.  He taught the students about snakes and owls.  He shared cool facts and safety tips for encountering snakes when we are outside.  Wilbur, the corn snake, was very well behaved.  Teddy, the barred owl, lives at Panther Creek Park in the enclosure outside the ranger station at the front of the park. He was injured and can not be released.  We enjoyed Mr. Mayfield and hope he will return again!
