Can you spell C-H-A-M-P-I-O-N?

7th Grader Ruben Bautista won the LHMS Spelling Bee this morning! To participate, students took a qualifying test in language arts class. Twenty spellers then moved on to compete at the middle school level. Ruben was declared the champion after he correctly spelled "neutron” for his championship word. Ruben will have the opportunity to compete against other school winners from the county on January 11, 2017, at Meadowview Middle School. Good Luck Ruben!

Second place went to Jaiden Picardi, third place to Kamryn Thompson, and fourth place to Alec Southerland. These students did a wonderful job competing.
